I took a first stab at implementing this system. I’m using Cloudflare’s KV API for workers to store a “queue” of links. I put together a little page where I can go and submit a link, which then gets received by the worker and put in the key value store.
The main motivation for making this a webpage is I’d like to be able to submit links from any computer. So I used Cloudflare’s access system which basically allows you to lock down certain routes on your site behind authentication. It was pretty incredible to see that it just worked, all you need to do is supply the routes and emails to allow. The sending of validation codes and authentication is handled by Cloudflare. Very impressive.
Anyway, the next step is to download the links in the queue at once and go through and better categorize them. Then I can save them in markdown files or something and pre-render a site that lists all of them with their categories and such.
