"To-do lists"
Something I've been thinking would be nice to have for a while is some way to plan and record progress through a structure a bit like a to-do list. I find there are times when I'd like to lay out a set of tasks for myself relating to a particular journal and then record when each task is complete. So maybe I'd make a post with the list of tasks, and then future posts that address progress made on one of the tasks would be the equivalent of checking off that task from the list.
Perhaps it's something like a hyperlink that's inserted on the "list of tasks" post to the "task completed" post when it's done. And maybe there's a hyperlink from the "task completed" post back to the original "list of tasks" post too so it's bidirectional. This sort of linking behavior could make the stream of posts on a particular journal a bit richer in that it could contain smaller, more focused endeavors that contribute to the overall goal of the project, but are themselves a bit more closely connected. It might create a more dynamic, non linear view to progress where rather than time being the primary axis, links between related tasks or posts create another way to navigate that focuses more on how efforts relate to each other, somewhat independently of time.
Have seen something like this emerge naturally in different ways from @lucas ' Deep Work posts and @internetvin 's recent Futureland posts
