Unfortunately wifi is way too poor to upload a full-blown video, so an image.
(A tiny bonus for my roommate, who loves toucans.)

Filmed the single-bend prototype too :) Time to tidy the table, paper shavings and bent paperclips everywhere.
Music: Masayoshi Takanaka - The Rainbow Goblins : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MzYD56hKF-8
I also love the cover art, and the voiceovers dispersed throughout the album. Feels like a grand, cohesive Wizard-of-Oz-esque opera.
Though I actually made a lot of this listening to Pomplamoose and Taylor Swift LOL
I like the color resolution of phone camera better! Shot in vertical view because I'm holding the phone with my legs, since otherwise I can't handle the mechanica with both hands. Poor wifi - took a looooong time to compress the video.

June 13, ???PM - Made a second one! This time with a single bend in the coil, and decided some color would be appropriate. Starting to film the final video, but not entirely satisfied with the color resolution or lighting.
June 13, ???PM - Starting to film final video, working with lighting. Added some newsprint to distinguish the face.
June 13, 12:25PM - Made a neater box form. The side slits need to be cut deeper, but the little running man is getting there.
June 13, 11:46AM - Think I can make it work as a little running man! Biggest pain point was that one of the coils was too tight, but managed to loosen it by applying the pliers not to the dangling wire, but to the coil.
June 13, 4:36AM - Turns out toilet paper roll is way better for this. This looks like walking, or some kind of plant.
June 13, 2:55AM - Maybe a snake.
June 13, 2:03AM - Pliers make things look so much neater (retrieved from physically distanced friend). Though not really sure what to make of this motion.
June 9, 3:16AM - Starting to jam with the idea, wish I had some pliers to straighten the paperclips out.
