looks like there is a bit of noise in the shadows. next time i should increase the sample size even higher
i managed to fix that one frame in post but sadly there are more issues with this animation which would require me redoing it from scratch. not worth it — will make it better on the next one

single frame has some messed up geometry. i will export the whole scene as a PNG sequence and fix this one frame in photoshop

trying out another dynamics tutorial
learning about cloth dynamics so i can create a new magic trick render
i just added a spare GPU to my system to see if rendering with both will have a big difference on speed. right now doing a test render to check thermals and both cards are peaking at 75 degrees which is fairly decent for such a tight fit.
as for the render times – each frame in the bubble animation renders in 16 seconds less than with a single GPU so a full video would be done 3 hours faster with both GPUs. pretty incredible stuff. i wonder how much better it would run with a more powerful card.
