Complete: Hyperfov Page Previews
In the month of September, I designed, built, and deployed previews.hyperfov.com.
This project arose very organically out of last month’s project, when I developed page previews for onedimension.net. I wanted to take this little interaction to other websites too, so I built a package that does just that.
It was a super quick project to get up and running; I built it in a single day. Over the course of a week I made some adjustments and improvements, but the previews are themselves a very simple thing.
This month’s website isn’t really about the website. I built a page as a demo, but the main effort for this month’s installment was focused on the package itself. I think this approach has resulted in me getting as close to simplicity as I have this year. I chose a single piece of interactivity to design and implement a system around, and did only that. Just goes to show that the website is really not the important outcome from these projects, it’s something much more essential.
